What it does
- Weekly shows post — every Thursday, the Pokémon card shows coming up near the server's metro, linked to each organizer's page.
- Weekly Hype Board — every Monday, cards with real price and chatter momentum. Not financial advice.
- /price — any member can look up a card's current market price.
- /cardops-pro — members of servers CardOps has approved can claim one free month of CardOps Pro.
What it stores
With chatter counting on, CardOps counts which Pokémon cards a server talks about, per hour. It never stores message text or usernames: each message is matched in memory and discarded, and only the hourly count per card is saved. The same is true of a shared link or photo: CardOps reads it in memory to recognize a card and discards it immediately. Photos are recognized by Google's Gemini API.
/cardops-pro is different: claiming a free month sends your Discord user id to CardOps's code service, so it can limit each member to one free month.
Turning parts off
An admin can turn any of this off with /cardops: /cardops chatter off stops mention counting, /cardops price off turns off /price, and /cardops setup changes or disables the weekly posts. /cardops status shows what's on.
